Family policies

What families ask before the first class.

Photos of your child

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

In the pool, and watching

An instructor is in the water or on the step beside every swimmer. Parents watch from the lounge behind the window, or from the deck by the steps. We ask that a parent or guardian stays on site during every class. Lessons are no substitute for adult supervision.

What to wear and bring

Swim shirts are welcome in every class. Please tie long hair back, wear goggles if your swimmer likes them, and bring a towel. We ask every swimmer to wear a cap in their level's color.

When to keep your child home

Please keep your swimmer home with a fever, a stomach bug or anything that spreads, and tell us so we can offer a make-up class. We rinse the deck and the benches every evening.

Closures for weather and holidays

We close the pools for holidays and for repairs, and we tell families by text. A class missed because a pool was closed is made up in the same term.

Leaving the program

Please give us two weeks' notice before a swimmer leaves, so we can offer the place to a family on the waitlist.

Drop-off and pickup

After class the instructor hands each swimmer back to a parent or a grown-up named on the registration. If someone new is collecting, tell the front desk before class.

Watching class

Brothers, sisters and friends are welcome in the lounge behind the window. Please keep them away from the pool's edge, and keep strollers in the entry hall.

Screens and phones

Please keep phones away from the water's edge. Photos of other families' swimmers are not allowed on the deck.
